Meet Laisha

With more than 25 years of experience in health and fitness, Laisha Ames is passionate about helping people become stronger, healthier, more confident, and more capable in everyday life.

Laisha holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and is an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Personal Trainer. With extensive experience in medical fitness, she specializes in creating personalized programs for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, cancer, cardiac conditions, cerebral palsy, joint replacements, age-related changes, and other health challenges.

As a Rock Steady Boxing certified professional, Laisha also specializes in helping people with Parkinson’s disease improve strength, balance, coordination, mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.

In 2006, Laisha was a founding member of Synergy Medical Fitness Center in Northern California, where she served the community for 16 years. That experience helped shape the philosophy she brings to LaishaFit today: fitness should support the whole person and meet each client exactly where they are.

Throughout her career, Laisha has worked with clients through many different stages of life—from improving overall health and strength to navigating a new diagnosis, recovering from surgery or illness, and maintaining independence as they age.

For Laisha, the relationships she builds with her clients are at the heart of what she does. Many have trained with her for years, and she believes the most meaningful victories aren’t always measured by pounds lost or weights lifted. Sometimes success means getting up from a chair independently, improving balance, walking farther, returning to something you love, or simply feeling stronger and more confident in everyday life.

Through LaishaFit Personal Training, Laisha works one-on-one with clients throughout Napa Valley, combining her education with decades of hands-on experience to provide safe, purposeful, and individualized training.

In 2024, Laisha was voted Napa Valley’s Best Personal Trainer, recognizing her dedication to her clients and the community she has served for decades.

For Laisha, fitness isn’t about perfection. It’s about movement, strength, confidence, balance, and quality of life—helping people stay active, independent, and doing what they love for as long as possible.

No matter your age, size, fitness level, or starting point, it’s never too late to get healthy and active.
